For the basketball enthusiast on Super Bowl Sunday who are there just for the commercials… the 2pm Hawks vs Celtics nationally televised ABC game is really your super bowl! I think Tre Young plays. For a mid-market team, this is his moment. I sure hope a slight hip discomfort is not going to keep him on the sidelines. Rest assured, a Hawks team with Young in the starting lineup on national television, can’t be an embarrassing blow out. This should be competitive to the very end. I’m taking the 7.5 points.

Cavaliers have the number 1 ranked defense in the NBA in terms of points allowed per game. The Spurs will continue to ride All Star Dejounte Murray, but it won’t be enough to take down the Cavs at their home court. Pistons are on the 2nd leg of a B2B home game. They didn’t fare so well against the Timberwolves the night before, i’m not so sure they will do better against the Celtics. The Celtics are well rested and sporting the number 4 rank defense in terms of PPG allowed. The Pistons are second to last in PPG scored. Minus 8.5 is a large number for a road team but Pistons are just terrible. Lay the points.
